Two employees of Well Fargo Company on Monday, November 6, disappeared with Ksh 94.9 million that was set to be moved to the Family Bank Kenyatta in the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD).

The two, who have been identified as Charles Mugetha and Antony Ndiuki are reported to have left the company offices at 8: 30 a.m. with the money.

They, however, did not have police escort as it is the norm when transporting huge sums of money.

According to the police, the two suspects dumped the Wells Fargo company vehicle near Dafam area in South C next to the southern bypass and went missing with the money.

The Administration Police officers who were set to escort the two Well Fargo employees were the first to raise an alarm after they waited and did not see them.

The incident was reported at the Akila Police Station in Lang'ata, and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives took up the matter.

The DCI sleuths have launched investigations into the issue and a manhunt for the two suspects.
