This comes a day after the Head of State returned from a two-day trip to Germany and France.

President William Ruto has announced that he will be jetting out of the country to Arusha Tanzania on Thursday afternoon. 

Speaking during the Joyful Women 14th-anniversary celebrations at Kasarani on Thursday, November 23, the president said he will be attending the East African Community (EAC) meeting on integration.

“This morning we have come from a meeting of the stock exchange of the whole continent here in Nairobi, they are having a conversation about integration, this afternoon we will be going to Arusha to discuss the integration of the East African community,” remarked Ruto.

This comes a day after the Head of State returned from a two-day trip to Germany and France where he held bilateral ties with the two nations and advocated for a global consensus on climate action ahead of COP 28. 

President Ruto also addressed the European Union (EU) parliament on Tuesday where he emphasized the importance of EU-Kenya and EU-Africa cooperation focusing on green transition and industrialization.

President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is also expected to jet out of the country this afternoon to participate at the Summit of the Committee of Ten (C-10) of the African Union Heads of State and Government on the reform of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in Ciudad de la Paz, Equatorial Guinea.

The DP will represent President Ruto at the ongoing summit that began on Tuesday, November 22, and is expected to end on Friday, November 24. 

“On November 24, 2023, he will deliver a Statement on behalf of Kenya on among other issues, why the reforms of the UNSC need to be accelerated for equitable representation of Africa through expansion of the membership,” Head of Deputy President Communication Service Njeri Rugene said in a statement.
