A mourning Mutua said he would detail everything after the deceased's burial.

YouTuber and filmmaker Abel Mutua has come out to clear the air regarding the controversy around his brother's death.

Mutua announced that his young kin Raphael Mbuvi died on December 28, 2023.

Reports would later emerge that the goner died by suicide instigated by mental problems and supposed neglect by close relatives. 

In light of it, Mutua found himself on the grill as Kenyan netizens roasted him for an alleged insensitivity and failure to address the challenges faced by his little brother.

The content creator was accused of abandoning people close to him despite the influence his brand has.

Raphael Musyoka (l) died on December 28.

Coming out to set the record straight, Mutua explained that he had been part of his brother's ailment journey.

His statement however alluded to the belief that Raphael fatally harmed himself.

He offered to detail every happening once the deceased was laid to rest.

"Thank you so much Wakurugenzi for the love that you’re sending our way. A good number of you know the truth and you have stood with us since my brother became ill. I’ll tell Rapho’s story because I know it’ll save someone and his death won’t be in vain. See you after the burial," said Mutua on X, formerly Twitter.

Mutua exacerbated the storm against him by appealing for financial help from Kenyans to give the late a befitting send-off.

The naysayers argued that with his brand, and lucrative deals known in his name, it was simplistic of Mutua to ask for financial help to bankroll a funeral.
