“The Public is duly notified to beware of unscrupulous individuals posing as Judicial Service Commission employees."

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has warned Kenyans interested in vacant positions in the Judiciary against being scammed by fraudsters.

In a public notice on Friday, February 9, JSC noted that fraudsters are posing as JSC employees and asking for money from Kenyans for them to secure positions in the Judiciary.

“The Public is duly notified to beware of unscrupulous individuals posing as Judicial Service Commission employees with the intention to defraud unsuspecting Kenyans. The fraudsters through calls and text messages are asking for payment to secure jobs of the recently advertised positions,” JSC stated.

The commission said it selects candidates based on merit through a fair, transparent, and competitive process from the widest range of eligible candidates.

JSC also warned individuals interested in vacant positions at the Judiciary against any form of canvassing saying it will lead to automatic disqualification.

“Members of the public are encouraged to follow and regularly visit our official platforms,” JSC added.

This comes after the commission advertised five-judge positions in the High Court and eleven positions at the Court of Appeal.

JSC directed interested candidates to visit its portal for detailed descriptions, requirements for appointments, and instructions on how to apply.

Further, JSC said all the applications should be made not later than February 29, 2024.
