The Directorate Of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives in Nakuru on Monday, February 12 grilled Turkana Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai and other five leaders from Turkana and West Pokot counties.
The politicians were summoned to appear before the DCI offices in Nakuru over the ongoing insecurity in the North Rift region.
Other leaders summoned by the DCI include; Turkana senator James Lomenen, Turkana South John Namoit, Kapenguria MP Samwel Mworoto, Pokot South MP David Pkosing, and Kacheliba MP Titus Lote.
The summons comes days after seven leaders from Baringo, West Pokot, and Samburu Counties appeared before the DCI and recorded statements on the conflict affecting six counties in the Rift Valley.
The affected areas are; Baringo, Samburu, West Pokot, Laikipia, and Isiolo counties.

The North Rift region has witnessed several attacks in recent months with more than twenty people killed.
On February 10, Kagir Primary School headteacher Thomas Kibet was killed by bandits in a morning attack.
Kibet who was on a motorcycle with his wife and child was headed to an Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Kipcherere Secondary School when the bandits attacked.
On February 5 bandits attacked and killed two people including a member of the National Police Reservist in a village in Kaputir, Turkana County. The armed bandits stole a G3 rifle- with 20 bullets and escaped.
