Governor Kang'ata called on Kenyans with information on the two suspects to reach out to him and receive a reward.

Murang’a Governor Irungu Kanga’ata has exposed two suspected thieves who have been terrorizing Kenyans.

In a statement via his X page on Monday, April 1, Governor Kanga’ta said the two suspects are part of a three-man gang breaking into houses in Kiambu County and stealing car parts.

“These two guys are part of a 3-man gang that does burglary into various houses in Gikambura Kikuyu Kiambu County. They steal car parts,” read the statement in part.

The Murang’a governor called on Kenyans with information on the two suspects to reach out to him and receive a reward.

“If you know them, text 0713 902 656. There will be a reward,” the UDA Governor added.

Car parts have in recent days been targeted by a well-organized criminal syndicate, especially on vehicles left for repair at garages.

On March 7, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives from Nairobi DCI Regional Headquarters apprehended three suspects and recovered several suspected stolen cars and vehicle parts in Nairobi.

The detectives were pursuing a vehicle stolen from a garage along Kangundo Road when they nabbed the trio.

“In the case, Matthew Odhiambo Ndacha, Joseph Otieno Ngeso, and Stephen Kabinku Mwangi are believed to have conspired with the yard owner to steal a Toyota Allion Reg. No. KBM 157S whose owner had left it at the Kangundo Road repair shop, before starting to dismantle it for sale as spare parts,” DCI said in a statement.
