The ODM Governor did not disclose the reason for sacking the two CECMs.

Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o has fired two County Executive Committee members from his administration.

In a press statement on Friday, April 19, Governor Nyong’o stated that Water, Environment, Natural Resources, and Climate Change CECM Maryline Agwa and Kenndy Hango of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development have been relieved from their duties.

“With powers vested on me by Section 31 (a) of the County Governments Act, I have today made the following changes in the Kisumu County Executive Committee.

“The CECM for Water, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change, Ms. Maryline Agwa, and the CECM for Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development Dr. Kenndy Hango have been relieved of their duties,” read the statement in part.

Governor Nyong’o further appointed the CECM for Public Service, County Administration, and Participatory Development Judith Olunch as the acting CECM for Water, Environment, Natural Resources, and Climate Change.

The ODM Governor pointed out that the changes take effect immediately.
