The fallen chief general of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) will be laid to rest at his native home in Ng'iya, Alego Usonga, Siaya County, on Sunday, April 21.
President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua led other high-profile dignitaries in paying their last respects to the fallen CDF.
Getting the chance to address the mourners, Siaya senator Oburu Odinga explained he had been sent by Raila and Uhuru.
He said his brother was ill and thus could not make it to Ogolla's Send-off ceremony.
"I stand here on behalf of the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga family whom I represent. I bring the condolences of my brother Raila Odinga who sent me. He is a bit indisposed therefore he would not come personally," said Oburu.
He revealed that Uhuru was out of the country but sent his condolences as well.
"I also want to bring condolences of former president Uhuru Kenyatta. He's out of the country and thus asked me to represent him," added Oburu.
Raila attended Ogolla's memorial service on April 20 at Nairobi's Ulinzi Sports Complex.
Ogolla died in a tragic KDF chopper crash on April 18 in Elgeyo Marakwet county.
He died alongside nine other military personnel who were in his company during his working tour of the North Rift region.
Uhuru euologised Ogolla as an accomplished military leader, but also a devoted patriot who dedicated his life to serving and protecting our beloved country.
"His leadership, bravery, and unwavering commitment to duty have made a lasting impact on our armed forces and our nation as a whole," said Uhuru.
The fallen CDF is survived by his wife Aileen Ogolla, and their two children; Joel Rabuku and Lorna Omondi Ogolla.
