All six occupants of the Sienta died on the spot while the Subaru driver sustained minor injuries.

Six people have been confirmed dead following a tragic accident along the Narok-Mulot road in Narok County.

The accident occurred along the Silanga area where a police report indicated that a motorist driving a Subaru Forester collided head-on with a Toyota Sienta.

The Subaru driver was overtaking on that busy highway before hitting the incoming Sienta.

All six occupants of the Sienta died on the spot while the Subaru driver sustained minor injuries.

Police noted that the Sienta, carrying 6 passengers, was heading towards Mulot while the Subaru was heading towards Narok.

Following the tragic accident that claimed six lives, the Subaru driver was rushed to Cottage Hospital after complaining of chest pains.

The bodies have been taken to Narok District Hospital Mortuary pending identification and postmortem.

The wreckages of the vehicles have been towed to the Narok Police Station pending inspection.

This comes just days after President William Ruto directed Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen to reduce the number of road accidents in the country.

Ruto gave CS Murkomen a one-year ultimatum to turn the tide or face repercussions.

"One year from now, we will have another meeting. That one year from now you must report that the numbers are down otherwise you will be in a lot of trouble," he stated.
