Multiple explosions have been reported in Kampala CBD, Uganda, on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

One of the explosions reportedly happened on Parliamentary Avenue, while the other occurred at Central Police Station.

"There have been two explosions in Kampala. One of the explosions happened on Parliamentary avenue next to the Jubilee Insurance offices. The other happened near CPS," NTV Uganda reported.

According to the police spokesman Fred Enanga, six people died, three police officers, and three suicide bombers, while more than 30 people were injured in the first of twin explosions.

Enanga then stated that 27 officers had been admitted at Mulago Hospital nursing injuries from the attack.

In a released CCTV footage, three bombers are seen disguised as bodaboda riders roaming along Parliamentary Avenue in Kampala before carrying out the attacks.

The spokesman added that the fourth bomber had been arrested and is under police custody.

Preliminary investigations carried out indicate that it was the works of the local terror group.
