Four men who allegedly tried to grab land in Karen owned by President Uhuru Kenyatta have been detained at the Muthaiga Police Station for two days.
According to reports, the four will be interrogated by police and help the authorities in arresting more suspects involved in the land-grabbing scheme.
Milimani Senior Resident Magistrate Jane Kamau on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, directed that they be freed on a police cash bail of Ksh30,000 each on Friday, January 7.

The four suspects are; Mohamed Muhamud Wako alias Hussein Mohamed, James Owino Opere, Jonah Salun Tuuko and Samakin Lesingiran.
The suspects are said to have obtained a fake title deed to the property.
Justice Kamau stated that the four were intending to dupe unsuspecting members of the public into purchasing plots within the land.
Police have since seized the forged title deed.
Prosecutor Fredrick Kimathi said that police are investigating the four for offences of conspiracy to defraud, forgery of title deed, obtaining registration by pretences and forcible entry.
The court heard that on January 3, the suspects went to the land on Windy Ridge Lane Karen (L.R. No.1159/88) without the permission of the owner.
The suspects are said to have begun searching for boundary markers (beacons) in an attempt to sell the land.
“I urge this court to grant the seven days sought by Sgt (Lawson) Shuma to track down other persons teaming up with the suspects behind the forcible entry, noting that it is the property of a prominent leader,” Kimathi said.
“Due to security reasons, I wish not to disclose his name," he added.
The suspects were represented by defence lawyers Danstan Omari and Shadrack Wamboi who asked that they be freed on bond.
“The suspects have disclosed to me that police told them the land belongs to President Uhuru Kenyatta,” Omari said.
The case will be mentioned on January 12.
