The National Elections Board has denied reports that some leaders have already been handed Nomination certificates.

ODM party has cautioned party members claiming they already have nomination certificates for various elective seats in the country.

In a statement on Thursday, the party said it has gotten wind of the emerging reports of some members claiming they already have the party's nod.

The party's National Elections Board denied the reports and said none has been handed the party certificate.

"There are people (aspirants) some holding party positions going round their respective areas claiming that they already have NOMINATION CERTIFICATES for the August 9 general elections.

"The NEB is warning such individuals to desist from misleading and disenfranchising other party members," the ODM party stated.

The Orange party, led by ODM leader Raila Odinga, is facing the difficult task of choosing who to front in various seats across the country as several leaders have fronted their interests for various elective seats.

Section of leaders has raised concerns over being shortchanged in the nomination polls by some who are close allies of the ODM leader Raila.

The party is on record saying they will deploy consensus in ensuring that aspirants seeking elective seats don't run away from the party in the event they miss the party ticket.
