A police officer attached to the Kericho police station is recuperating at the Kericho County Referral Hospital after he was stabbed by his lover on the night of Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
The officer is said to have been stabbed in the chest by his girlfriend after she caught him with another woman at a club in Kericho town.
According to reports, the officer lived with his girlfriend at the police residential quarters but had failed to return home for several days.
The officer's estranged girlfriend who is said to be pregnant with the officer's child, searched for him for days and eventually found him at the club where she stabbed him in the chest.

Revellers who were with the officer intervened and saved the officer and in the process, one of them sustained cuts in his hands as he was disarming the woman. He was also taken to the same hospital where he was treated and discharged.
According to people close to the estranged couple, this is the fourth time that she has stabbed him.
After injuring the officer, the woman surrendered herself at Kericho police station thinking that she had killed him.
Doctors at the hospital revealed that the officer was in stable condition and he was lucky that the stab missed crucial organs.
