Sonko said he is willing to help the mother of the minor pursue justice.

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has weighed in on the ongoing uproar on social media over the death of a minor allegedly caused by a house help.

In a statement on Facebook, Sonko said he is willing to help the mother of the minor to pursue justice.

"My followers have been sending me this case of a kid that was assaulted by a house help and died 3 days later due to internal bleeding and complications. Anyone close to the mother should tell her to contact me for justice," Sonko stated.

Reports suggest that the child was beaten by the house help identified by name as Maureen Nyaboke resulting in internal injuries.

The woman identified as Wambui Wambeca laid off the house help for beating her child barely a week after she was employed.

After the release of the house help, Wambui took her child to the hospital where it was revealed that he had sustained internal bleeding.

The incident has caused an uproar on social media with Kenyans calling for the arrest of the house help.

Sonko has urged house helps to maintain their cool in cases of conflicts with their bosses and avoid victimizing their employees' children.

"Alafu house helps mkiwa na issue na mdosi wako bonga na yeye you sort out the issue, don't hurt young innocent souls like this handsome kid because of vengeance," he said.
