Former Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir has been appointed as the Chief of Staff in the office of the deputy president.

Public Service Commission confirmed the appointment on Wednesday.

Before his appointment to the cabinet in 2013, he was the head of ICT at the IEBC.

He served in the cabinet as Energy CS.

Chirchir resigned as CS after the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission filed legal action against him over accusations of misconduct at the Kenya Power and Lighting Company.

At the same time, is reported to be working as the spokesperson/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Deputy President William  Ruto’s campaign team.

Chirchir Will fill the vacancy of Ken Osindewho died last year.
