The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has announced that the shortlisting of candidates for job opportunities that were advertised on October 8, 2021, has been completed after a thorough evaluation of the applications.

Among positions that attracted a high number of applicants include that of ‘Court Assistant If which had 57,245 applications, while another 4,874 applied for the position of Driver Il, 1,377 for Charge Hand 1 and 302 for the posts of Senior Draughtsman.

According to JSC, there were 909 applicants for the position of Risk Management Officer I with another 607 seeking the position of Superintendent of Works while a further 512 applied for the position of Law Clerk.

The post of Senior Public Affairs & Corporate Communications Officer attracted 360 applicants while Senior Quantity Surveyor had 162 applicants, Senior Civil Engineer got 141, Senior Electrical Engineer (106), Senior Law Clerk (87), Senior Mechanical Engineer 87) and Senior Architect 67 applicants.

"The Judicial Service Commission would like to assure the public and specifically all applicants that the recruitment and selection process for the advertised positions is being undertaken in an open, fair and transparent manner that ensures equal employment opportunity forall Kenyans," a statement by JSC stated.

The commission further noted that any further instructions and relevant details on the on-going recruitment process will be posted on the JSC website.
