The Interior CS said that it was not going to be fun.

Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiangi has said that the government has been left with only one option concerning the security issue in Marsabit County.

Speaking on Wednesday, Matiang'i said that the government was going to do what was necessary to secure the region and the locals of the area.

According to the CS, no one should blame the government because of what it's going to do in Marsabit as it was going to apply maximum force of fire.

"We are left with only one option for Marsabit. No one should blame the government because we are going to do in Marsabit what we MUST do to secure that place," Matiang'i stated.

"All I can say without fear of contradiction, it is not going to be fun. We will apply maximum force of fire and we will act decisively in the best interest of the innocent people in the county," he added.

Matiang'i said that the people in the region were suffering at the hands of irresponsible and reckless politicians who were galvanizing people along ethnic lines.

Security in Marsabit has been a major concern with frequent attacks having been experienced previously where innocent people lost lives.
