A report by NTV indicates that the Murang'a Governor had taken a lift towards the office of the IEBC Chair when he got stuck.

The governor, however, managed to get out of the lift after minutes of being stuck.

He addressed the press conference after the standoff and called on all presidential aspirants to take caution saying the IEBC is in a  big mess.

Governor Wa Iria has been camping at the IEBC office since morning demanding answers on why he was locked out in the list of presidential aspirants set to be cleared by the commission.

He did the same at the Bomas of Kenya on Monday where IEBC chair Chebukati was meeting and clearing candidates to vie.

Governor Wa Iria has claimed that he presented the requisite signature and documents to the IEBC for clearance but the commission has locked him out without any clear answer.

On Tuesday, he told the press that the commission could be under strict instruction to lock him out.
