Tharaka Nithi county commissioner Robert Komora has confirmed that 33 are now dead while 10 are being treated with serious injuries.

The company in a statement on Sunday evening said the cause of the accident is yet to be established.

Modern Coast has sent its condolences to the affected families of the deceased who are undergoing treatment.

"We send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and wish quick recovery to those injured and undergoing treatment," the company said.
