Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has unveiled his first vehicle months after being elected into office.
The first-time MP took to his social media pages on Wednesday, November 16, to flaunt a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser V8, which he said he will launch on Thursday.
The lawmaker thanked his constituents for their trust in him and the opportunity to serve them, promising to serve them well.
"To all Kenyans and all my supporters from Mumias East constituency, as I promised you, tomorrow I will be launching my new machine, Toyota V8," Salasya stated.
The legislator said that the vehicle will not belong to him individually but to the people of the Mumias East constituency.
"Thank you pple of #MumiasEast for the amazing trust and love you have in me. I will serve you tirelessly in realizing your dream, and to all kenyans through my committee of agriculture, Regional Development alongside regional integration," he said.
Salasya is one of the youthful MPs in the 13th Parliament, and he has been vocal since joining the August House.
The unveiling of his new car comes after Bomet Woman Representative Linet Chepkorir, alias Toto, also acquired her first car after being elected into office.
Toto acquired a Toyota Prado TX, which she said she was going to use for her official duties after it was blessed at a church in her county.
