President William Ruto on Monday, March 4, at State House, Nairobi, assented to the County Governments Additional Allocations Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 23 of 2023).

The President noted that the National Government would keep mobilising resources to support County Governments.

Ruto said he was committed to ensuring operations in the counties run efficiently.

The move makes available Sh29 billion that will facilitate the devolved units to discharge their mandate.

President Ruto Assents to the County Governments Additional Allocation Bill 

President Ruto lauded the Governors who are continuously expanding their own source revenues to support the delivery of services to the people.

Present were Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Speakers Moses Wetang’ula (National Assembly), Amason Kingi (Senate), and Council of Governors Chair Anne Waiguru.

Majority Leaders Kimani Ichungw’ah (National Assembly), Aaron Cheruiyot (Senate), Solicitor General Shadrack Mose, among other leaders, were also in the function.
