There is always a stereotype that the legal field is a reserve for males. This is often because most high profile cases tend to feature more male advocates as opposed to females.

However, this is not true as some of the most popular and successful advocates in Kenya are married to wives who are equally established in the legal field.

Murkomen's political career coupled with his appearance in several high profile cases has earned him a place among renowned lawyers in the country.

However, what many do not know is that the Transport Cabinet Secretary's wife Gladys Wanjiru Kipchuma is also an established advocate.

The two met while studying at the University of Nairobi School of Law where they both graduated in 2005. She has been in the legal field for close to 20 years.
