  • CS Magoha expressed optimism that the entire exercise will be done in two weeks if all factors remain constant.

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha has announced that the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination marking is 90% done.

Speaking in Kisumu on Tuesday while supervising the distribution of KCSE exams, Prof Magoha noted said only composition and Insha papers are yet to be finalized.

He expressed optimism that the entire exercise will be done in two weeks if all factors remain constant.

“We had a schedule and in the inside of the next two weeks, the results will be out,” Magoha said.

He, however, noted that the public will be briefed in case of new adjustments to the announced schedule.

Addressing the integrity of the ongoing KCSE exams, the Prof noted that very few cases of irregularities have been reported so far across the country.

According to the CS, only 15 people and 15 phones had been confiscated, adding that investigations are being conducted before action is taken on those found guilty.

“Today marks the third week of the examinations, and we are proceeding extremely well, considering all things. The examination has gone as per the schedule, except a few tricks that I warned about earlier,” Magoha divulged.
