Citizen TV's Zora actress Brenda Michelle is in hospital after her car was hit by a train.

Actress Brenda Michelle is in hospital after her car was hit by a train.

Michelle plays the role of Alma in Citizen TV's drama series Zora which airs every weekday at 7:30 pm.

Michelle was in the car with her husband, producer Jacky B when they were hit by an oncoming cargo train on May 12.

"Our car was hit when we were about to cross a railway line. It was dark and raining heavily. The train had no lights on. It never hooted too. It just ran into our car and propelled us into a flooded area nearby.

"I felt like a building fell on us. It was a very traumatic experience. Michelle felt most of the impact as she was in the co-driver seats," Jacky was quoted by a local daily as saying.

He added that he suffered minor tissue injuries from the accident.

Following the accident, the couple visited a nearby clinic and were discharged and given drug prescriptions.

Jacky B rushed the actress back to the hospital after she started complaining of severe pain. The producer stated that they feared it might have been internal bleeding.

"Earlier on, a few tests were run on her head and limbs where she was complaining of pain and the doctors said it was tissue and muscle damage.

"However -later on- she started complaining of chest pains, dizziness and nausea. We are back here to run more tests. They suspect that she may have suffered from thoracic trauma," Jacky B said.
