People’s Empowerment Party (PEP) founder Moses Kuria has announced that going forward; the party will contest in every election across the country, adding that it will not step down for any candidate as recently witnessed in Kiambaa.
Speaking during PEP’s National County Coordinators Conference, Kuria noted that the party has built structures to help it spread its wings across the country.
He noted that the next stop for the party will be Meru County where a ward seat has be left vacant for the demise of one of the assembly members.

“Huko Kiambaa tulichukua hatua bila kulazimishwa kuungana na UDA…Sio kusema eti kila wakati itakuwa namna hio… Kutoka hapa kwenda mbele tutasimamisha wagombea kura katika viti vyote ambavyo vitajitokezea…We are a serious party, sisi sio watu wa kubahatisha, Wakenya wataona rangi yetu huko mbele,” Kuria said.
Recently, there were talks of sibling rivalry in Hustler Nation after both PEP and UDA unveiled candidates for the Kiambaa by-election.
However, Moses Kuria announced that the party opted out of the poll in support of UDA’s candidate.
The announcement elicited massive reactions with some netizens claiming that PEP is a briefcase party being used by some influential persons ahead of 2022.
Moses Kuria has since dismissed the claims noting that PEP is one of the parties to watch out for ahead of 2022.
