Kameme TV presenter Jeff Njoroge has been hospitalised after he was involved in a road accident on the night of June 1, 2021.

The Kigwa Kuhihwo Murio show host is said to have collided head-on with another vehicle that was headed for the Thika Superhighway.

Njoroge was rushed to a medical facility in Ruiru, Kiambu County following the grisly incident.

Both vehicles landed in a ditch after the collision.

"It’s true I was involved in an accident this evening along the bypass. However, I am safe and I thank God for life," Njoroge stated.

Kenya's 58th Madaraka Day was unfortunate also for the family of Kenyan International goalkeeper Patrick Matasi after the car he and his family were travelling in rolled over.

The accident is reported to have occurred at Lessos, Nandi County.

"Matasi has been involved in an accident at Kapsabet on his way to Nairobi from Kakamega and he was travelling alongside his wife and son but they have been rushed to hospital.

"They are all injured but out of danger. Their car was also damaged," a family friend revealed.

The family was attended to at the scene of the accident before they were rushed to Kakamega Referral Hospital for treatment.
