Former Belgut MP Wesley Kimngeno Rono died on Saturday, October 17, while receiving treatment at Siloam Hospital in Kericho County.
The death was confirmed by his family who also revealed the burial is set for October 24, 2020.
The current MP for Belgut Nelson Koech mourned the politician describing him as a great leader.
"I visited his family this morning at Masarian village, Kapsuser ward to register my condolences," MP Koech stated.
We are grateful for the services he rendered our great constituency during his time," he added on a post on his social media.
Before joining politics, Rono served as the Principal for Cheptenye Boys in Kericho County.
