  • Wanjiku was declared Kiambaa MP-elect after securing 21, 773 votes against Jubilee candidate Kariri Njama's 21, 263.

Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has told his counterparts Donald Kipkorir and Prof. Makau Mutua that the Kiambaa win is just a tip of the iceberg, on what is to come.

The lawyer said that his friends are furious because the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) victory on Friday showed that it is a party for the Mt. Kenya region and they should get over it.

"My friends @DonaldBKipkorir and @makaumutua are LIVID that UDA flexed its muscles and showed its a Mt Kenya Party. Gentlemen get over it...you aren't seen nothing yet!!!" tweeted Ahmednasir.

In response, Donald Kipkorir said there was no way they could be furious because of a party that buys its way into everything.

He added that UDA will be the shortest surviving political party in Kenya because it has no moral ideology and its only principle is that votes can be bought.

"How can we be livid over irrational & purchased exuberance? UDA is a party devoid of any political or moral ideology …. Its guiding principle: votes can be bought! It will be shortest surviving political party in Kenya," said Kipkorir.

Ahmednasir's remarks came hours after UDA candidate John Wanjiku was announced winner of the hotly contested Kiambaa by-election.

Wanjiku was declared the Kiambaa MP-elect after securing 21, 773 votes against Jubilee candidate Kariri Njama's 21, 263.
