President Uhuru Kenyatta has gifted a Kiambu family with two cows just days after a photo he took with them went viral.

Eunice Wanjiru and her daughter Esther Wanjiru trended on social media last week after a photo they took with President Uhuru Kenyatta at Gakoe Water Plant wowed netizens.

Wanjiru later did an interview with a Gikuyu TV station where she revealed that she had mistaken the Head of State for a Kenya Forest Service Officer.

She even held a conversation with the president's bodyguards they asked if she had keys for the Water Plant.

It was only later that her daughter informed her that she had been talking to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The grandmother of two waited for Uhuru to complete his tour of the plant before sharing her family's plight with him.

She asked him for a cow to help ease her load in feeding her family.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has now fulfilled this as Kiambu County Commissioner  Wilson Wanyanga delivered two Friesian heifers to Eunice Wanjiru.

Reports indicate that the heifers are in-calf and the granny will soon be the proud owner of 4 cows.
