Governor Joho posted a photo with Mr. Odinga on Monday, October, 10 in an undisclosed location and tagged Suna East, MP Junet Mohamed.

Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi put Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on the spot after the latter posted a photo with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Governor Joho posted a photo with Mr. Odinga on Monday, October, 10 in an undisclosed location and tagged Suna East, MP Junet Mohamed.

Joho hinted that something was in the works as he captioned, "Something big cooking".

A section of netizens expressed interest in knowing what was 'cooking' while others challenged Joho to answer when he would face Mr. Odinga on the nomination box to be ODM presidential flagbearer in 2022.

Ahmednasir was among the netizens who asked Joho when he would face the former premier and other candidates in ODM to be the flagbearer ahead of the 2022 general election.

"Gov...your supporters are awaiting for the day Hon Raila will contest nomination for odm Presidential candidate 2022 against yourself, Hon Oparanya and Jimi Wanjigi ..no shortcut please," Ahmednasir tweeted.

Here are some of the reactions:

Another section of netizens requested Ahmednasir to focus on UDA because he is a known supporter of DP William Ruto.

Governors Hassan Joho and Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya have already applied to be the presidential candidate for the ODM party in the 2022 election.

Jimi Wanjigi has also joined the race. While Mr. Odinga has not announced his 2022 presidential candidature, reports indicate that he will make the announcement after the voter registration exercise has been concluded by IEBC.

While Joho and Oparanya have given indications they could step down and allow Odinga to carry the mantle in next year's election, Wanjigi has remained defiant and even challenged the former prime minister to declare his presidential bid.
