It is a day that many of his supporters will troop to social media to send goodwill messages even as he continues to stage a spirited campaign ahead of the 2022 race.

But despite being the day he was born, the DP is at the same time celebrating as his marriage anniversary.

DP Ruto is married to Rachel Ruto and they are blessed with 6 children namely Nick Ruto, Stephanie Ruto, June Ruto, Charlene Ruto, George Ruto, Nadia Cherop Ruto. Among the six some are adopted.

He sired one child Abby Cherop Ruto out of wedlock thus raising the total number of his children to 7.

As he marks five decades and a half on earth, the DP will also be celebrating his 30th year in marriage; an achievement that many admire.

The DP is on record attributing his success in politics and business to his wife Rachel who she describes as a prayerful woman.

He has severally praised her wife for steering the family and filling his gap at a time she has been chasing his political ambitions.
