Gedi insisted that she must explain what she was tabling in the parliament as a section of MPs sided with her.

There was drama in parliament on Thursday, April 14 after Embakasi East Member of parliament babu Owino was ordered out by Speaker Justin Muturi.

Tension was high in the parliament as MP Fatuma Gedi tabled evidence on Deputy President Wiliam Ruto's‘ land grabbing saga’.

The National Assembly speaker repeatedly told Gedi to table the evidence that she had carried inside the parliament with a suitcase.

However, Gedi insisted that she must explain what she was tabling in the parliament as a section of MPs sided with her.

Babu interjected before Muturi ordered him out.

The speaker did not vacate the order but Babu refused to leave as a section of MPs protected him.

The speaker adjourned the parliament after the refusal by Babu to leave and will resume on 10th May 2022 at 2:30 PM.
