President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) to chair the first Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya council meeting.

President Kenyatta was accompanied by Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga and other leaders in the Azimio coalition. 

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka arrived at KICC minutes after the President landed. 


Leaders who were spotted at the meeting are Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, senator Gideon Moi, and MP Junet Mohamed among others.

Among the issues expected to be discussed today is the thorny matter of Odinga's running mate and Azimio's lineup for Nairobi County. 

According to a press release by the Odinga presidential campaign team, Kenyatta is expected to chair the first meeting of the Azimio council on Thursday, April 21, 2022. 

"The Azimio La Umoja Coalition Party flag-bearer and ODM party leader Rt Hon Raila Odinga will attend the first Azimio Council meeting tomorrow Thursday 21st, April 2022. The meeting brings on board the council membership chaired by HE President Uhuru Kenyatta," a statement signed by Dennis Onsarigo read.
