A 63-year-old mother and her daughter, aged 41, died after they were knocked to death, allegedly by an overspeeding Prado TX in Kitengela.
The mother identified by name as Abigail Nancy Magero and daughter Catherine Magero are reported to have been exiting a supermarket in the town when the speeding car allegedly knocked them, killing the two on the spot.
The incident is said to have happened outside Quickmart Supermarket in Kitengela around 7pm.
The family was visiting the son Willy Magero who reportedly lived across the supermarket.
The two hail from Kisumu, near Maseno.

The vehicle alleged to have been involved in the accident is detained at Kitengela Police Station.
Sources claim the vehicle was being driven speedily by a young man who was rushing home to return the car before the dad arrives back.
Nairobi Leo however could not verify the claims independently.
The bodies of the two have been preserved at Saitoti Hospital as the probe on the matter continues.
