22-year-old Fridah Warau Kamuyu's body had been lying at the morgue and marked as unknown.

After days of waiting, the family of the woman who drowned with a man at a Juja Dam finally came for their kin. 

The family, reportedly from Mathioya in Murang’a county on Thursday, January 27,  identified her at the City Mortuary during which it was revealed that she is Fridah Warau Kamuyu.

The 22-year-old body had been lying at the morgue and marked as unknown.

The man who perished alongside her Tirus Maina had already been identified hours after the tragedy occurred.

Maina is reported to have been in his car with Fridah on the sidelines of Juja dam on the day of the tragedy.

The two plunged into the Juja dam.

The woman who is said to have attempted to save herself was retrieved from the waters in the same evening.

The man and the car were retrieved the following morning.

Tirus's wife Margaret had appealed to Kenyans to help find the family of the woman.

The tragedy occurred on January 17.
