Winnie Odinga seemed not to have lost hope, saying she was still patient to wait.

It appears Winnie Odinga will not soon shed off the implications of her declaration that she will be wedded off at the lawns of State House, Nairobi.

While attending a youth meeting in October 2021 in the company of her father Raila Odinga, the EALA MP had manifested her nuptials at the house on the hill which she was certain her father would occupy in his capacity as Kenya's fifth president.

"Tell them that I said, Winnie Odinga will get married in 2022, on the lawns of State House, And you are all invited, so if you want that to happen, go register to vote,” Winnie said during the meeting in Mt Kenya.

However, with the turn of events as regards the outcome of the 2022 presidential vote, Winnie's dream to get off the market while at the coveted venue seems to be wading off by the day.

The latest to remind her about the wedding would be a Kenyan by the name of Felix Bett, who said he is waiting for the nuptials.

Bett was responding to Winnie's tweet in which she wanted to know what became of Kevin Mboya, another Kenyan tweep who had set out to Kwale with flowers to surprise his girlfriend.

"Kuliendaje," posed Winnie to Mboya.

Bett then got the chance to revisit the ODM leader's daughter's resolution to be wedded at State House, Nairobi.

"Tumengoja Sana kama Ile wedding ya state house (We have waited like your State House wedding)," Bett tweeted.

In her response, a calm Winnie quipped;

"That’s a good one. Tukae tukingoja basi."
