"First Kenya government owns Kenya House, so no one can be evicted," Amolo said.

Kenya's Ambassador to Germany Tom Amolo has denied allegations that he was evicted from his house in the foreign nation over rent arrears occasioned by missing salaries for six months.

The envoy in a tweet said the Kenya government owns a house in Germany where he stays and therefore the allegations are misleading.

He at the same time denied missing salary for six months noting that the government owes him no arrears.

"I have seen incredible fiction that I have been evicted from Kenya House, Berlin and that we have not been paid our salaries. First Kenya government owns Kenya House, so no one can be evicted," Amolo said.

"Second our salaries from the foreign office are up to date, cease and desist," Amolo added.

Allegations of the foreign envoy missing salary first emerged after Foreign and diaspora affairs CS Alfred Mutua appeared before National Assembly Committee on Defence Intelligence and Foreign Affairs on Thursday.

Chair of the committee Nelson Koech laid bare many foreign diplomats who had gone for six months without pay.

“Our attaches abroad have not been paid for the past six months. Some of them have been threatened with eviction. They are living in very deplorable conditions,” Koech told the committee when the CS appeared before them.

Koech said the parliamentary committee will be touring foreign missions in the near future to assess the situation since many diplomats were leaving in deplorable conditions.

“We have seen his (ambassador) video clip circulating. He has gone into alcohol as a result. It is very important that we look into this,” he said.
