CS Kuria on Tuesday morning broke into a run to catch a 4 am train to New York for the Kenya-US Business Roundtable.

Lawyer Miguna Miguna has described a video clip of Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria running to catch a train as despicable.

CS Kuria is in the US to deepen bilateral ties by exploring new areas of collaboration in investment, trade, security and other areas of mutual interest.

The CS on Tuesday morning broke into a run to catch a 4 am train to New York for the Kenya-US Business Roundtable.

Miguna, however, termed the incident as one that aimed to chase clout by generating content that was to be used on Social media platforms.

He said the move to record the incident was to captivate the masses.

"No genuine commuter in Kenya, USA, Europe or Asia “runs” to catch a train as bodyguards, personal assistants, embassy staff and messengers run after them with their luggage as they laugh and record videos for @tiktok_us, @Twitterf, @facebook, @instagram. Such kind of churlishness is despicable. We aren’t children!" Miguna tweeted.

Kenya is banking on a series of roadshows and meetings in the United States to lure American investors into the country.

Foreign Affairs CS Alfred Mutua is also in the US for a similar mission.

The two CSs are leading the Kenyan delegation which left on Saturday for a Bilateral Strategic Dialogue in Washington D.C.
