Lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi has urged President William Ruto to take action on Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga over his planned anti-government demonstrations.

Ahmednassir in a statement via Twitter on Sunday, April 30, sensationally claimed that the former Prime Minister and his financiers are after taking the entire government from Kenya Kwanza.

“Raila variously stated his ultimate goal was to remove H.E William Ruto from power and install himself as President the August 2022 elections notwithstanding. In my view, Raila's insurgency is the same as those of Joseph Kony's Lord's Resistance Army, Col Sultani Makenga's M23, Jonas Savimbi's unita, Alfonso Dhlakoma's Renamo, and many other insurgencies that sought to take power in the African continent.

"H.E William Ruto must smell the coffee and see the reality. Raila and his financiers don't want half of your government, they want the whole of it,” he stated.

The Senior Council urged President Ruto to stop tolerating the Azimio protests saying they are about an insurgency to aimed at taking power unconstitutionally.

“How can a govt Tolerate an open insurgency like the one led by Raila & his sponsor? How can a constitutional democracy like ours not act against persons who openly want to overthrow it? Prof Makau Mutua Azimio's shadow AG is on record on this...that their ultimate goal is to take State House,” Ahmednassir added.

His remarks come after Azimio announced that they would return to the streets to hold protests against the Kenya Kwanza regime on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

The Raila-led coalition on Sunday announced that they would present their petitions to four state offices during the demonstrations.
