Gideon Moi has appointed a  27-year-old journalist as the KANU party director of communication.

Kenya African Union (KANU) party Chairman Gideon Moi has appointed 27-year-old journalist Manasse Nyainda as the party’s director of communication.

Moi in a statement on Friday, June 9, described Nyainda as a versatile journalist with expertise in strategic communication, mainstream, and digital media operations.

“I have today appointed Mr. Manasse Nyainda as the Director of Communication - KANU. The 27-year-old is a versatile journalist and public relations practitioner with expertise in strategic communication, mainstream, and digital media operations,” the statement read in part.

The former Baringo senator further explained that Nyainda will be tasked with offering timely technical communication support to the KANU party and the National Chairman.

He will also be tasked with communicating policies, programs, and activities aimed at increasing the party’s public profile.

“Nyainda has been tasked with offering technical communication support and advisory to the Party and the National Chairman through timely and effective communication of policies, programs, and activities aimed at enhancing their public profiles. I congratulate him on this well-deserved appointment,” Moi added.
