President William Ruto has made new appointments to his government. 

President William Ruto has yet again made new appointments to Government corporations and agencies. 

In a gazette notice on Friday, June 23, President Ruto appointed former Nambale MP Sakwa Bunyasi to be chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Development Corporation for a period of three years.

Sakwa who formerly served as the Chairperson of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board will replace Michael Nyachae who has been moved to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Development Bank of Kenya Limited, for a period of three years.

The Head of State also appointed Peter Njuguna Gitau as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Sports Kenya up to October 5, 2024. Njuguna will replace Charles Waithaka whose appointment has been revoked.

Elizabeth Chesang has been appointed to be Chairperson of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities for a period of one year replacing Peter Muchiri whose appointment has been revoked.

Geoffrey Mutai has been appointed as the Non-Executive Chairperson of Kenya Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis Eradication Council, for a period of three years. He will replace Ali Menza Mbogo.

President Ruto also appointed Peter Munyiri Maina to be the chairperson of the National Standards Council up to January 19, 2026. Maina will replace Jeremiah Kamau Kinyua whose appointment has been revoked.
