The Wiper boss, who is among the key leaders of the outfit, could not be traced by Azimio supporters raising eyebrows on his whereabouts.

The absence of Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka from Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance Kamukunji's rally on Tuesday raised eyebrows among its supporters.

The Wiper boss, who is among the key leaders of the outfit, could not be traced by Azimio supporters raising eyebrows on his whereabouts.

However, hot on the heels of speculations and questions regarding his absence, Azimio leader Raila Odinga allayed fears that Kalonzo’s absence was a political statement.

Raila explained that Kalonzo missed the event since he is on a foreign trip. 

"Nimeongea na Ndugu yangu Kalonzo, ako huko Ulaya na hiyo ndio sababu hayuko hapa na sisi Leo. Amenituma niwasalimie. Mumepokea," Raila said.

Raila also passed greetings from President Uhuru Kenyatta who is in Angola. 

The Azimio rally on Tuesday unveiled five key decisions the outfit made in protest of President William Ruto’s move to sign the Finance Bill 2023 into law. 

Among the decisions made by the Azimio team is civil disobedience which they said will be marked with refusal to pay taxes. 

Azimio also announced an end to the Bi-partisan talks that were meant to end protests that had been convened by Raila’s camp. 

Other resolutions included rescheduling of another Rally on July 7, 2023, to Unveil the plan for civil disobedience.

They also resolved to collect signatures to kick out those who backed the Finance Bill 2023.
