President Willaim Ruto on Tuesday cleared Cleophas Malala, David Ndii, Monica Juma and Hariette Chiggai to be attending Cabinet Meetings. 

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General Cleophas Malalah on Tuesday, June 28 attended his first Cabinet Meeting after being cleared by President William Ruto and taking an oath of secrecy.

Taking to his Twitter account after the meeting, Malalah stated that as the UDA secretary-general, he is mandated to ensure that the Kenya Kwanza government’s development agenda is consistent with the manifesto.

“I attended my first Cabinet meeting at Statehouse-Nairobi. As the Secretary General of the UDA Party, I am mandated to ensure that the Govt's development agenda is consistent with the manifesto upon which we were elected on.

“President William Ruto's administration remains fully committed to the implementation of the Kenya Kwanza plan,” Malala stated.

President Ruto also cleared the Chairperson of Council of Economic Advisors David Ndii, National Security Advisor Monica Juma and the Advisor on Women Rights Harriette Chiggai to be attending the Cabinet meetings.

During the meeting, the Cabinet approved the establishment of decentralised offices of the Attorney General and the Department of Justice in a move to ensure that people at the grassroots receive services at a minimal cost.

The Cabinet also approved the establishment of The Pending Bills Verification Committee, which will be tasked, with the auditing of liabilities for the period between 2005 and 2022.
