Police in Kajiado County are investigating an incident in which a mother allegedly burnt her two children to death.
The incident said to have happened at Saina Estate could have been fueled by a domestic squabble with the husband, police said.
Nairobi Leo has learnt that the woman locked herself in the house with her two children.
She then released cooking gas in the house and set the house on fire killing her two children on the spot.
The house made of iron sheets was quickly consumed by fire.

The bodies of the two children aged 10 and two were found after the fire had been put off.
The woman sustained serious injuries and was rescued by a neighbor who rushed her to the hospital.
Police say the incident was caused by marital differences pegged on a love triangle, according to the woman's side of the story.
It is said that the woman has been having an argument with the husband.
The husband who has been away is said to be cohabiting with another woman.
It is alleged that the man has been away for about two weeks.
The bodies of the two children were taken to the morgue.
The woman is undergoing treatment ahead of the legal process.
The shocking incident is not new in Kajiado County.
Barely a month ago, a woman stabbed her two children to death.
She also stabbed her husband three times on the neck.
The woman, who attempted suicide, is believed to be still undergoing treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
The incident was also linked to marital differences.
