“If Raila is arrested today what's the worst that can happen? Will Kenya stop? No will the world come to an end? No will the cost of living come down ? Yes! Will Kenyans be happy? Yes !,” he stated.

The UDA Senator on Thursday warned the Azimio camp that the government will not allow destruction of property and loss of lives during the demonstrations.

“Tomorrow the government shall protect the lives & property of the Kenyans from demos hooligans. Azimio-OKA demos organisers including Raila Odinga should be held responsible for any loss of lives & property. Fanya fujo uone,” Cherargei stated.

The police have arrested several people in the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) on suspicion that they could be hatching a plot to kick off Saba Saba protests called by the Azimio coalition.

Among those who were arrested are those found along Harambee Avenue which hosts the office of the President and that of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
