The government has withdrawn the official security detail attached to former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta at her Gatundu and Muthaiga homes.

It has now emerged that the officers drawn from the General Service Unit and Administration Police were recalled at around 5 PM on Tuesday evening.

The officers were told to leave the homes of the former First Lady and report to the nearest police station.  Mama Ngina was not notified before the withdrawal of the security detail.

A screengrab of the traders who vowed to storm Mama Ngina's Muthaiga home addressing the press.

This comes hours after a section of city traders vowed to storm former First Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta's Muthaiga home on Wednesday during the planned anti-government protests by Azimio.

"She once served as First Lady and hence understands that such protests affect traders negatively and subsequently hurts the economy.

"Some of our traders will not work for three days straight so how will we earn a living? That is why we will march to her home and we appeal to the police for protection," one of the traders told the press.
