Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has slammed the Kenya Kwanza government after DCI officers raided the house of his eldest son Jomo Kenyatta in Karen.
Speaking to the media on Friday, July 21, Uhuru said he was at his office when his son called him informing him that the DCI officers were at his gate.
“I got a report from my son that he had come home and as he was leaving the watchman told him that there were people claiming to be DCI officers in a vehicle with Sudanese registration numbers, claiming that they want to see him. I told him immediately when the police want to do so something they don’t come in foreign number plates,” said Uhuru.

The former Head of State dared the government to go after him instead of intimidating his mother and children adding that he is not scared.
“What does this government want, because if it wants me, the fact that I have been silent doesn’t mean I am scared, come for me. What does my mother and children have to do with anything? Kama shida yenu ni mimi I am here,” Uhuru added.
Uhuru at the same time distanced himself from allegations that he is funding the Azimio anti-government protests saying being friends with ODM leader Raila Odinga is not a crime.
"The issues Kenyans are talking about have nothing to do with me. Have you seen me at any of those events? Have you seen me talk about any of those events? Is it a crime in Kenya to associate with Raila? ,” he posed.
