According to Infotrak only 15 percent of Kenyans feel the country is headed in the right direction. 

A new survey by Infotrak has revealed that 72 percent of Kenyans believe that the country is headed in the wrong direction. 

According to the report released on Monday, July 24, only 15 percent of Kenyans feel the country is headed in the right direction while 12 percent feel the country is headed neither in the right nor wrong direction. 

The respondents who feel the country is headed in the wrong direction cited the high cost of living, unemployment, poverty, poor governance, bad politics, rampant corruption poor quality of education, and high taxation.

The report indicated that 75 percent of the respondents who feel the country is headed in the wrong direction said President William Ruto is responsible while 9 percent blamed the executive and 4 percent blamed Parliament. 

Infotrak also stated that 34 percent of the respondents who feel the country is headed in the right direction cited that the executive is working well, 29 percent because there is peace in the country, and 19 percent because the cost of living is affordable.

The survey firm at the same time stated that 87 percent of Kenyans are aware of the Finance Act 2023 while 13 percent are not aware. 

The poll showed that 73 percent of Kenyans don’t support the Finance Act with the majority coming from Nyanza, Western, Nairobi, Eastern, and the Coast region.

The survey was conducted from July 3, 2023, to July 8, 2023, and had a sample size of 2400.
