Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta has alleged that the police officers who raided his son’s home in Karen wanted to plant guns and drugs during the operation.
Speaking to news editors on Monday, July 24, Uhuru stated the incident has been surrounded by a lot of propaganda to divert the attention from what was happening.
"I believe they wanted to plant drugs and guns in my son's compound,” the former Head of State claimed.
Mr. Kenyatta disclosed that he went to Jomo's house after he got a distress call from him, "I was not drunk, I was extremely hurt."
The President also dismissed allegations that his sons have illegal guns saying they only own six guns in total and three each which are registered.

“My Son Jomo applied for three guns for his family’s protection which are also vital in the operations at our farm, with the open safari camps in Narok County,” Uhuru said.
This comes hours after Defence CS Aden Duale revealed that the government would not hesitate to take action against the family of former President Kenyatta if they failed to surrender the guns in their possession.
Duale asked the family to liaise with the Firearms Licensing Board boss Rashid Yakub and surrender the guns.

At the same time, Interior CS Kithure Kindiki stated that there was a police operation in Karen area in search of crude weapons that have been used in the recent Azimio protests.
"Today (Friday last week) afternoon, an operation has been going on targeting three homesteads within the Karen area where a total of 23 firearms, some of which are suspected to have been used in illegal activities are kept.
"Today's operation is part of a broader operation targeting scores of firearm holders who are reasonably suspected to be availing firearms not only for purposes of supporting violent protests but also for other illegal activities," Kindiki alleged in the statement.
