While exploding on the president, Kabando accused him of riding on Uhuru's projects to hoodwink Mt Kenya residents.

Former Mukurweini member of parliament and Nyeri senatorial hopeful Kabando Wa Kabando has taken on President William Ruto over his unending politicking in Mt Kenya region.

Ruto kickstarted his five-day of the populous region on Saturday, August 5.

The president in the company of other Kenya Kwanza leaders stopped over at Githurai, Kiambu county, where he unleashed his tirades against opposition leader Raila Odinga and retired president Uhuru Kenyatta.

Reacting to the Saturday morning political rally, Kabando faulted the president for sticking to political rhetoric that he says are of no importance.

In a series of Twitter posts, the politician pointed out that Ruto won the presidential vote to serve Kenyans at the expense of full-time politicking.

"Mr. President, what Mt.Kenya region, as indeed all regions of Kenya, need is statesmanship from you and government services. Stories about Uhuru and Raila is not what you were elected to do. We recognise you, even as your presidency is replete with disdain, rantings, lamentations," he stated.

Kabando further observed that Ruto is riding on development projects retired Uhuru initiated instead of actualising the promises with which he sought office; it his opinion that Ruto is leveraging his predecessor's projects to hoodwink Mt Kenya locals.

He also counselled the president to cleanse the indictment in his administration characterised by incompetent and complacent bureaucrats.

"Mr President, all those projects you've come Mt.Kenya to launch are of Uhuru's era. Where is the Guaranteed Minimum Returns for our avocados, coffee, milk, coffee, tea, macadamia, rice that you so loudly promised? Sir, your govt needs serious cleansing of deceptions and incompetence," he stated.

Kabando in his hard-hitting write up urged Ruto to embrace statesmanship and show good example for the country to emulate.

He detested hate politics suggesting that it might be the president's main undoing.

"My last plea to you, sir, can you set precedence , do a first tomorrow 'thanksgiving' church service by being statemanly of statecraft...No hate politics," said Kabando.
